![]() ![]() In the primitive church at Rome and in the Eastern Church, the kiss of peace was offered after the first part of the Mass and before the Eucharistic Prayer. That was your and my sin, by the way.The custom of exchanging the greeting of peace at Mass is found in the words of St Augustine in the 4th century: “After the Lord’s Prayer, say ‘Peace be with you.’ Christians then embrace one another with a holy kiss. The only time when we could possible infer that He might have been afraid is when God had to turn His back on His Son while the sin of the world was laid on Jesus’ shoulders. In all of that there is no mention or inference that He doubted, or was afraid or was troubled. When He was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, when He appeared before the Jewish ruling council, and before Pilate, then before Herod, then again before Pilate, and as He went to the cross, there is one important thing that is missing. I want to call your attention to one very important detail concerning the last day of Jesus’ life before His death. When He came to them, He said “Peace be with you.” The NIV says in the book of John, “Do not be afraid.” Which is essentially the same thing that He says when He appeared to the disciple after His resurrection, “Peace be with you.”Ĭalm your troubled mind… Don’t be afraid, he says, for He is with you until the end of time. He knew they were in trouble, but they almost didn’t recognize the need to call out for Jesus. Scripture says that He would have kept on walking by, but the disciples called out to Him. When the disciples were in a boat on the Sea of Galilee rowing against a strong wind, Jesus came by walking on water. He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Our scripture focus tonight, Resurrection Sunday, is: Jesus triumphed over death by rising again and loosing Satan’s hold over those that have put their faith in Jesus Christ. ![]() People still tremble today when they are given the opportunity to follow God. Sinai before the sight of all the people. On the third day, the Lord told Moses, in Exodus 19, that He would come down on Mt. Like the great light that shone forth on the third day in Genesis 1:14, Jesus, rose from the dead to be a light to all men. And, all their bones can be found there if you care to look through old musty bones.īut, Jesus on the third day after being placed in the tomb rose again. What we want to take a look at is His glorious resurrection and what it means to you and me.īuddha is still in the tomb. Additionally, one can find in historical texts and tablets this same event. These events, though briefly described are written about in great detail in the gospels. Joseph, a member of the Sanhedrin, whom the Bible calls a good and upright man, placed Jesus’ body in a tomb that Joseph had purchased for himself. After He gave up the Spirit, His body was taken down by Joseph of Arimathea. Subsequently, Jesus was led out along with two thieves to a place called the Skull and crucified there. Pilate desired to release him, but finally succumbed to the pressure of the Jewish ruling council to crucify Jesus. ![]() Like Pilate, he examined Jesus but could find no basis for the Jews accusation against him. Herod had jurisdiction over the Galilean area, and happened to be visiting Jerusalem. He was then taken to Pilate, who, after learning that Jesus was from Galilee, sent Him off to Herod. During that time He was beaten and deprived of sleep and food and water. ![]() He was taken before the ruling council and questioned. Jesus was led away from the Garden of Gethsemane by temple guards, elders and priests. It is I myself! But with online manuals, customers have an opportunity to communicate with a company. Next to that there was no direct contact allowing buyers to give feedback. At some points it felt quite discouraging, so Froukje was looking for new solutions. Often, the hard work done prior to product release was devalued because of minor mistakes. In the meantime, customers had to deal with a problem themselves if there were any false guidelines. She needed to wait about 4-6 months to make corrections in all paper product manuals. The product development project was led by product manager Froukje.Īccording to Froukje, it was extremely frustrating to notice an error in a printed user manual knowing that it was almost impossible to change anything. To avoid excessive paper recycling, cut expenses and provide users only the content that matches their native language and actual purchase, a brand new approach must be applied. What’s more, it requires more printing, which is both expensive and detrimental for the environment. It becomes difficult to include all the instructions into one booklet. On top of that, as markets expand, the wall types on which the products are installed also expand. The stock tyres aren’t amazing, and you can do better with some sportier aftermarket replacements of course – which I’d do straight away to be honest.Even though it was no longer sold in all the markets where it used to, the GSX-600F Katana has lived enough to see its 2007 model year. The extra weight of the turbo is offset by the missing stock exhaust system, so you’re at about the same as standard in terms of mass. The KATANA is some way off something like a BMW S 1000 R or KTM SuperDuke if you want precise, lightweight supernaked handling – it’s maybe closer to the likes of a Kawasaki Z1000SX or Z H2. That means good brakes, decent road-bike suspension and steady, slightly portly handling. When taking it through the corners, noise aside, we’re once more back on a stock KATANA. Those minor gripes aside though, this genuine 250bhp+ powerplant definitely gives the KATANA something to shout about in terms of performance, besting even the wild Ducati Streetfighter V4 and Aprilia Tuono 1100 when it comes to ballistic levels of power.Ĭheck out our other custom bike tests here… “On the motorway, you can play silly games, seeing how fast it will accelerate between speed camera gantries, holding the throttle open fully for as long as you dare, giggling at the rush.”īut modulating the gas when the front end starts to come up is difficult – as you roll off, the power cuts sharply. The fuelling was a little tricky too – while riding normally it’s spot-on, and on full throttle there’s no grief at all. Doing some for the camera was a bit of a handful – first gear was too sharp when the power hit, second or third gear was a bit too fast. Too low of a gear would fling the wheel up quickly but higher gears meant you had to be going mach-10 to hold it up.Īs it is, the delivery of the turbo power at a higher rev range makes it trickier to do silly things like slow wheelies for photos. The power delivery high in the rev range made getting photos a little tricky. The 150bhp tune of the stock KATANA motor is part of the reason – it’s a more powerful, higher-revving bike than the Z900 as standard. The KATANA has a totally different feel from the hugely-torquey low-revving Kawasaki, with a bit of a wait before the big power kicks in – and arguably, the Z900’s instant drive just off idle and 200bhp peak power is better suited to the naked roadster format. I wasn’t sure if I preferred it over the Z900 RS tune from last year mind. “Once you adapt and start using the power a little more, the front wheel barely touches the deck, it just skips along.” On the motorway, you can play silly games, seeing how fast it will accelerate between speed camera gantries, holding the throttle open fully for as long as you dare, giggling at the rush. Even the new Hayabusa, which I rode a few weeks later, can’t quite match the mind-blowing nature of the KATANA’s turbocharged GSX-R1000-based engine. It’s a striking motor, and easily tops the very latest 1100cc superbikes for sheer unadulterated power. With the factory lines and curved all preserved. The BigCC KATANA looks just as striking standing still. He’s also got some previous with the old KATANA too – his suck-through turbo Spondon Katana drag race bike is a work of art that’s been in development for more than 20 years. Sean’s usual work is building engines for drag racers and land-speed-record attempts – with 500bhp turbo Hayabusas as the daily earner. The GSX-S is a good bike, for sure – but where the original KATANA rocked most folk’s world, the new one was a bit steady more a hefty farmer’s machete than a super-sharp samurai sword.Ĭheck out our test of the Big CC Z900 RS turbo build…Įnter Sean Mills, owner of Big CC Racing in the UK. Rather than taking the latest 2017 variable-valve GSX-R1000 and using that as a base for a 170bhp light supernaked, the firm had given the GSX-S1000 some new bodywork. But while it kept the sweet name and the styling was actually pretty good, the heart of the matter was a bit of a missed opportunity. Suzuki came out with a new KATANA, which was a good thing. What better way to turn it up a notch than fitting a turbo and making it into a rocket?įorty years on though, things had changed a bit. The new Suzuki KATANA is a beautiful bike that answered the prayers of every retro fan’s dream. ![]() ![]() DIY Floor Tile Buy Direct at the Lowest Wholesale Price.
