Sunday night brought a second weekend gun incident to the area with one sent to the hospital after a shooting on Rainier Avenue South. Meanwhile, more serious gun incidents continued in the city’s south where a man was shot and killed Friday night in the Rainier Valley. Earlier on Friday just after midnight, a reported shooting on 19th Ave turned out to be related to a car fire that spread to a residence. Police did investigate reported gunfire Friday night just after 10:30 PM near 22nd and Alder where multiple vehicles were reported to be involved and police found shell casings on the pavement but no injuries were reported. Gun violence: The area around Garfield High has cooled down following increased SPD patrols and campus security after a spike in gun violence around the school.Police were gathering information about residents of units facing the area of the shooting but there were no reported immediate arrests. According to East Precinct radio updates, witnesses said the shootings were an ongoing issue from an upper story of a nearby apartment building. Seattle Fire said the man suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. Police and Seattle Fire were called to the scene just before 1 PM where a man was hit by the airgun fire. Summit BB shooter: A man was shot in the back by multiple BBs believed to have been fired by a shooter armed with an airgun in a nearby building Saturday afternoon at Summit and E Olive St.There were no reported signs of foul play. Witnesses reported a man who appeared to have been homeless found in a an apartment building stairwell around 11:30 Wednesday morning. According to Seattle Fire, a 35-year-old male was found dead at the scene. 14th and Denny death investigation: Seattle Fire says SPD is investigating after a man was found dead Wednesday morning in the 1800 block of 14th Ave near E Denny Way.Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000. A search for the suspects was not successful. According to the SPD brief, the victim told police he was shot in a dispute with the occupants of a vehicle that fled the scene in the 1700 block of 17th around 2:35 PM. 17th Ave shooting: Police say a man suffered non-life threatening injuries to his hand and torso in a Friday afternoon shooting in a 17th Ave parking lot.
